Legendary Bands of each Century

Looking the TV Show "Number One" on German TV right now. Thus, I thought about who are the most legendary bands or artists of each century from the 70s to 2000s. The Bands and Artist are listet in the decade where they made the most impact.

70s:
Deep Purple, Bee Gees, James Brown, ABBA, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Fleetwood Mac, Cat Stevens

80s:
Michael Jackson, Madonna, Tina Turner, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Guns N' Roses, Metallica, Tracy Chapman, Bruce Springsteen, A-ha

90s:
Nirvana, Red Hot Chillie Peppers, Offspring, Mailyn Manson, U2, Limp Bizkit, Backstreet Boys, Take That, Public Enemy, Woo Tang Clan, 2Pac, 2Unlimited

2000s:
Eminem, Jay-Z, Foo Fighters, Linkin Park, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys, Daft Punk, Shakira, Robbie Williams, Nora Jones, Blink 182

I did this list cause a lot of people say, that no good music has been created in the 90s and 2000s. I hardly doubt that. As you see in the list, there are a lot of artists that change the way we listen to music. A lot of people wouldn't pick Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, Nora Jones or Blink 182. Well, if you are one of these, asl yourself, do you just don't like them? They changed the music for the following years.
